Bhoopal is one of the founders of Jana Natya Mandali, a famous cultural troupe in the two Telugu states. A noted actor and writer, Bhoopal acted in the Telugu films Maa Bhoomi, Daasi and Komuram Bheemand the Hindi film Paar.
